5 Most Instagrammable Spots at Universal’s City Walk
While everyone else is making a beeline for the parks, try exploring City Walk. City Walk is the “HUB” of Universal Studios Orlando Resort. It’s got it all….restaurants, shops, bars, clubs, and Instagram photo ops!
What’s great about these photos, is they were all taken during peak times. Of course, I’m not a fan of going during busy times, but when you go to Universal in the summer, you’re not getting away with those perfect tourist-free photos.
All five of these locations are around City Walk, but you can get that perfect shot without a tourist lingering next to you, ruining your shot. As usual, all locations are marked on the map at the bottom of the page.
The first location is one of the most iconic Universal Studios shots. It’s the giant Universal globe that slowly turns, with the word perfectly fitting into your photo frame. The globe is also one of the most popular photo ops at Universal, so how are you supposed to get a good picture without other tourists ruining your shot?
Have your photographer (best friend, boyfriend/girlfriend, buddy…) stand on the bridge opposite the globe. Then you are going to walk around to the globe and instead of standing in the front, facing the park, walk around to the back so you are now facing the bridge. Literally no one walks down there (maybe they think it’s restricted?).
From the globe bridge, walk towards the main entrance to City Walk/parking garages. Once you get past the bridge, you will see a few steps down towards the water taxis. Walk there.
The only time the pathway gets used is for people exiting the water taxis. This spot will give you a great view of City Walk with The Hulk at Islands of Adventure in the distance. Go around sunset to get that dusky Florida glow.
For the next spot, head on over to VooDoo Donut. Walk past the main entrance and start walking up towards the ramps/stairs on the right side. This pink wall is on the way up!
Next, continue walking up the stairs/ramps and follow the second level around to Pat O’Brien’s. These bold green shutters and red wall are to the right of the main entrance.
Turn around and look towards the stairs that go down. On the right side is the back of Cow Fish, that’s where you’ll find this orange and pink wall.
